Allied Health
Who it is for
Patients managing pain, injury, recovery, mobility, or daily-living challenges, often as part of a broader care plan coordinated with your physician or Nurse Practitioner.
How to access this service
Many allied health services are accessed through a referral from your Generations Medical Centre provider, which keeps your care coordinated. Where self-referral is available, you can request an appointment directly. Services are offered on-site and virtually.

What it costs
Coverage for allied health varies by service and by your situation. Some services may be covered through OHIP-funded programs, while others are billed to extended health benefits, third-party payers such as WSIB or motor vehicle accident insurance, or paid privately. We will explain coverage and any cost clearly before your appointment, so there are no surprises.
What is included
- Physiotherapy, to restore movement and manage pain or injury.
- Chiropractic care, for muscle and joint conditions, particularly of the spine.
- Chiropody (foot care), for foot and lower-limb health.
- Massage therapy, hands-on therapy to relieve pain and support recovery.
- Occupational therapy, to help you regain independence in everyday activities.
- Social work counselling, for the practical and emotional challenges that affect health.
Your care team
Care is provided by family physicians, Nurse Practitioners, and physician assistants, working alongside nurses and the wider team. Because everyone shares one electronic medical record, your information moves with you across the team and you do not have to repeat your story.
